Common Questions About PHYSIK Products

Who should use PHYSIK?

Anyone experiencing pain resulting from exercise, injury, or chronic conditions can apply PHYSIK topicals directly to the skin in the affected area(s). The active ingredients will have the greatest impact in the local area where PHYSIK is applied.

Is a CBD topical right for me?

CBD topicals may be right for you if you are seeking localized relief for conditions like muscle soreness, joint discomfort, loosening up before activity, or post-activity pain. They are designed for external application and offer targeted relief without the psychoactive effects associated with THC and ingesting cannabis.

Will using PHYSIK products cause me to fail a drug test?

Standard drug screens test for THC and THC metabolites. Not CBD. Since PHYSIK products contain only CBD (and no THC) you can rest assured that you will not fail a drug test due to PHYSIK products.

What are the differences between PHYSIK lotion, gel and spray products?

All three products contain CBD in the form of Spoke Sciences’ IsoCaps™ technology (see www.spokesciences.com). The mechanism of action for each PHYSIK topical is the same, but we provide three different formulations for different use cases. The lotion is moisturizing and lightly scented, the gel is alcohol based for targeted, cooling relief, and the spray offers the convenience of “touch free” application and can be applied to hard-to-reach areas like the center back. Choose a form factor that best fits your needs.

Do the products stain or leave grease marks on clothing?

No. The Spoke Sciences’ IsoCaps™ CBD ingredient is water-based, not dissolved in an oil carrier like other CBD topicals. As a result, our products are non-greasy and do not leave residue or marks on clothing.

Why does the PHYSIK cream have a scent but the gel and spray are unscented?

PHYSIK products are designed to meet the specific needs of our customers. We offer products that enable our customers to choose what’s right for them. We formulated our gel and spray without any fragrance that might conflict with the fragrance of other products. We offer our lotion with a light cucumber aloe scent that we feel complements its moisturizing, daily wear application.

Common Questions About the Science Behind PHYSIK

Do PHYSIK products contain THC?

No. PHYSIK Pain Relief + products do NOT contain THC. They will not get you high. We only use purified CBD (i.e. CBD isolate, > 99% pure from Farm Bill-compliant hemp) in Physik products that have been tested "non-detectable" for THC.

Is PHYSIK tested on animals?

No. We never test our proucts on animals.

What is the bisabolol ingredient in PHYSIK, and is it good for me?

Bisabolol is a terpene found naturally-occurring in many plants, including hemp. Bisabolol can reduce occasional redness and irritation. This is why it is a common ingredient in skin care products, including sunscreen.

What is the tocopherol ingredient in PHYSIK, and is it good for me?

Tocopherol is Vitamin E. Your body produces tocopherol naturally in your skin. Healthy skin tends to have higher levels of tocopherol, and Physik includes tocopherol to complement your skin’s natural levels. Tocopherol E is an excellent moisturizer that has other skin protectant properties that deriving from photoprotective and anti-inflammatory effects.

What does "lipophilic" mean?

Lipophilic literally means "fat loving." Lipophilic substances do not normally mix with water. That means lipophilic AND beneficial plant constituents cannot be easily put into non-oily topicals or beverages. Our IsoCaps technology changes that.

Should I use PHYSIK while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Please do not use PHYSIK or any other CBD-containing product while pregnant or breastfeeding. CBD has not undergone the rigorous testing necessary to fully understand whether there is any risk.
